Mannish Tailoring

Vogue has been using the term "manicured" look a lot lately in their articles. The manicure look has been making a big comeback in the last decade and even this year. For F/W 2024, the genderless style has continued to permeate women's fashion. Monochromatic tailored suits have made a comeback, emphasizing broad shoulders and structured designs to create a strong, independent image without losing their femininity. Items such as a white shirt and tie, wide-legged pants, or a double-breasted jacket are typical of the manly style.

Reinventing knitwear

Knitwear is more than just a warm winter garment, it's now a luxury item. With luxurious materials like cashmere and merino wool, knits can be elegant in their own right. Instead of plain styles, oversized knit sweaters and long knit dresses have become versatile pieces that can be worn for both casual and formal occasions. Knitwear is an item that can be easily paired with a variety of looks. This year, I expect to see a lot of knitwear looks in different moods.

The return of vintage

Vintage is alive and well. Vintage fashion, a modern take on styles from the past, is the keyword for fall/winter this year. Velvet, fringe details, floral prints, and more are making a comeback, blending the bohemian vibe of the 70s with the minimalism of the 90s. As they say, trends come and go. Try adding a modern twist to a classic and lovely design to keep it fresh.

Flyte Patterns

A weekend in the English countryside with a traditional British twist is the new buzzword. We're seeing a lot of heritage tweeds, herringbone, plaids, and argyle knits that are reminiscent of a weekend in the English countryside. These patterns are a modern take on classic British styles, and we're expecting to see a lot of them this season. Tweed jackets offer a formal yet comfortable feel, while plaid knits are classic and endearing.

Neck-Up Fashion (Neck-Up)

This season, we're seeing a lot of emphasis on the neck with scarves, turtlenecks, and hoodies. A scarf or a blouse with a large collar is a great way to dress up an otherwise simple look. Alternatively, backward button-downs, where the collar goes back and buttons up from behind, will also be popular.

A stronger hard-shoulder look

The true off-the-shoulder look is back. And it's bolder and bigger. It's borrowed from the style pioneered by Claude Montana, who said, "Bigger is better in the 1980s. Straight, sloping or rounded, very big shoulders dominate a space and convey authority.
